#109 Halter Neck Cross Back Dress

A full, flowing dress with a gathered scoop neckline, wide straps that cross and twist at the open back, and an elasticated waistband that shapes the fit. The skirt is gathered and falls long, with contrast white hand-stitch detail along the seams and hem. A side zipper makes it easy to slip on.

Slow craft. Dabu is a mud-resist printing technique from Rajasthan. A paste of clay, lime, and gum is stamped onto the fabric with hand-carved wooden blocks, then the cloth is dyed. The mud blocks the dye, and when it’s washed off, the pattern is left behind in soft, slightly uneven tones. Each piece is made by hand, so small variations in print and colour are part of it.
